Mr. Collins has a diverse and successful trial and appellate practice focusing on commercial litigation involving labor and employment, commercial disputes, insurance coverage issues, intellectual property, and general liability claims.
His experience includes representation of clients in labor disputes before the NLRB and FMCS arbitration proceedings; wrongful termination claims and other claims under the ADA, ADEA, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other Federal and State anti-discrimination statutes; shareholder rights actions, fraud, defamation and corporate governance issues; bankruptcy matters involving creditors claims and defense of preference actions; protection of trade secrets, patents, copyright and trademarks; defense of personal injury, premise liability, motor vehicle torts and insurance coverage issues.
Mr. Collins is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park (1985) and the University of Maryland School of Law, J.D. (with honors) (1988). He has achieved an A/V® rating from Martindale Hubbell®, the highest possible peer review rating for ethics and legal ability.
He tries cases primarily in the Federal and State courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia
